Beacon Mental Health’s Older Adult Program is dedicated to supporting adults as they age and encounter new life transitions. Our services focus on mental health, community connection, emotional support, and overall well-being. We proudly serve older adults, caregivers, and kinship families across Clay, Platte, and Ray counties.
What We Offer
Education & Support Groups
We provide supportive group settings where older adults can learn, share experiences, and connect with others facing similar life stages. Our groups include:
- Older Adult Education & Support Groups
- Caregiver Support Group
- Loss & Transition Group
- Northland Grandfamilies — for grandparents and relatives raising children
Community Education
Our team offers presentations throughout the community to raise awareness about the unique mental health needs of older adults. These sessions help families, caregivers, and community partners better understand how to offer meaningful support.
Older Adult Case Management
Our case managers help older adults navigate available resources and access essential supports. Services may include:
- Assistance with basic needs
- Help completing housing, Medicaid, and Medicare applications
- Guidance in accessing community programs
- Regular wellness check-ins
- Suicide risk assessment and safety planning when needed
Who Can Participate
- Adults 60 years or older
- Residents of Clay, Platte, or Ray County
